Underwater Sound Installation 2009
Cardigan Swimming Pool, Wales
The project looks at singing and swimming as a way to explore ritual and community in public places. The underwater sound installation places recordings from the Song Archive Project in a public swimming pool. The sound work is audible only underwater and triggers the swimmer’s inner melodies. The title is a borrowed word from the German Ohrwurm and describes a part of a song that repeats within one’s mind. Click here to view a video documentation from Sioe Gelf programme on S4C. |
